HeliDisc
Take aim and knock down your rival’s target with nothing but a flying disc.
- Divide into two teams.
- The objective is to knock the opposing team’s target off their tower using a flying disc. There are 3 ways for teams to score points:
- A strike is when a disc hits the tower but does not knock the target off. A strike is worth one point for the throwing team.
- A direct hit is when the disc hits the tower or target directly and the target hits the ground without being caught first by the receiving team. A direct hit is worth two points for the throwing team.
- A HeliHit is when the receiving team catches the target after a direct hit and before the target hits the ground. A HeliHit is worth three points for the receiving team.
- Each team alternates one throw per turn. If team’s have multiple players, rotate who throws.
- Players should stand within arm’s length of their tower. The throwing player must be able to touch their tower from their throwing position.
- The receiving team may not catch or interfere with the in-play disc in front of their tower.
- Only after the disc has struck the tower, target, or passed the tower may the receiving team catch the in-play disc.
- If there is interference by the receiving team, the throwing team gets a rethrow.
- Slide the score marker down the tower pole to track your team's points.
- The first team to score a direct hit after reaching 21 points wins.
- Assemble towers.
- Find a level surface for each tower and place a minimum of 20 ft / 6.1 m apart. Or you can increase distance to increase difficulty. If terrain is unstable, use rocks, sand, logs, or other objects to stabilize base of tower.
- Place Helinox targets on landing pads atop each tower.
- Game alternative: Replace Helinox targets with a beverage can or plastic bottle. Never use a glass target of any kind.
